Great Vocalists need Great Coaches

If you are even thinking about having a career in singing you should get a vocal coach. If you are thinking that you will just put that off till later. You need to think again.

Tell me any celebrity vocalist that has not had singing lessons. Yes, some performers have had a great career without ever having needed a singing coach. Understand though, these are the exceptions to the rules. Don't be ignorant and think you can do it all on your own. All great success, be it sports, music, or business have all had coaches.

Why do you think that you would not need a coach yourself? Maybe you think that because you are performing professionally already that you don't need one? Then it is even more important that you get a coach. It is what makes a good voice a great voice. Unless you are a big name headliner yourself, you need to stand above your competition.

Stop and think about this for a second. Do you have good technique? Do you know what proper technique is? If not, you could be damaging your own vocal cords. Is that something that you really want to chance? I didn't think so.

Where you can find a good coach is a whole different animal. A good place to start is by Googling Atlanta Singing Lessons Some instructors promise that they can make you a star. If someone makes a promise like that, RUN. When you find an instructor that you like, ask for students that they have trained. Talk with them about their experience.

Also you should find singers or vocalists in your area that you admire. Ask if they know anyone that they recommend.

When starting out, you will be working on the basics. This means learning how to use your voice. Such things may be learning how to breathe properly, how to project your voice, in addition to singing scales and such.

Learning to sing is a process, not a destination. You should always be learning, but remember enjoy yourself.
